About the Artist
Joyce Pinkerton is a painter and visual artist based in north central Texas. Working mainly in watercolor, Joyce is inspired by rugged western terrain and the resilient living things who thrive there. She and her husband live on a small farm, a place where the horizon stretches in all directions, where cattle graze and the woods, pond and backyard are alive with wildlife of all sorts. It’s a peaceful place but full of energy, and that feeling is conveyed in her sweeping landscapes, inviting ranch scenes and colorful floral compositions.
